Sharks Summer Program

Looking for a fun, active way for your child to explore the outdoors this summer? The CNY Sharks Summer Mountain Bike Program offers trail adventure, fitness, and skill development in a supportive team environment led by experienced, NICA-certified coaches.

Practice Locations:

Green Lakes, Split Rock, Duguid Trails, and additional nearby venues.

Dates: June 30 – Aug 1, 2026

Join the CNY Sharks this summer for fun, fitness, and trail adventure! Our Summer Program is open to riders entering 4th grade in September 2026 through age 18, and offers group rides, skills development, and outdoor exploration led by experienced, certified coaches.

Schedule:

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:00 – 6:30 PM

Saturdays: 9:00 – 10:30 AM

Who can Join?

All skill levels welcome – beginners through experienced trail riders. Riders entering 4th grade through age 18 (as of September 2025).

Capacity: Limited to 20 riders – register early to secure your spot!

**We’re hoping to expand registration, but it is based on coach availability.

All riders must register and submit payment before participating in team practices or rides.

All participants must bring the following to every session:

Mountain Bike – in safe, working condition for trail use
Helmet – worn at all times while riding (no exceptions)
Hydration – water bottle in bike cage or hydration backpack

We believe in giving back to the trails that support our sport. The CNY Sharks encourage riders and families to participate in:

Local trail maintenance and building days

Environmental education activities and Leave No Trace practices

Safety

Safety is central to everything we do. Our program follows all NICA safety protocols, including:

Mandatory helmet use at all times
Riding only trails appropriate to each rider’s ability
No jumps or high-risk features – focus is on cross-country riding
Coach-to-rider ratio of 1:6 preferred, never exceeding 1:8
No rider will be unsupervised – all rides are led by certified adult coaches
