Wow… just wow.

I’m sure all our coaches and parents feel the same, but what a weekend. Huge shoutout to the weather gods for dry trails and even some sunshine. Watching all the NICA NY athletes tossing frisbees, catching up, and just enjoying being together filled my heart.

And our Sharks? With glitter and sparkle tattoos to match the energy, our 32 riders were nothing short of impressive. Our veteran Sharks dug deep—building on everything they learned last season while still showing up to support each other and our newer riders. And our younger Sharks? Big smiles, lots of laughs, and fully embracing their first taste of a NICA NY race weekend. Learning the ropes and loving every minute of it.

It was truly something special to watch. (And yes… the “zig zag” was everyone’s favorite part, so I’d say we’re doing something right.)

To our Sharks' parents—THANK YOU. Weekends like this don’t happen without you. From organizing, setting up, keeping riders fueled, and jumping in wherever needed, you are a huge part of what makes this team so special. One of the coolest things about this sport is that our parents aren’t just on the sidelines… you’re part of the team. You’re in it with us—helping get riders to the start line, keeping things running smoothly, and creating an environment where everyone can succeed.

We’re so grateful for those who stepped up this weekend. And if you’re wondering how to get involved—just jump in! Ask questions, take on a role, lend a hand. It truly takes all of us to make these race weekends run the way they do. This is what makes Sharks more than a team
